Why CoffeeCentric

Labels you can check, not slogans you have to trust.

Words like "sustainable" and "ethically sourced" are easy to print on a bag. CoffeeCentric shows only specific labels, each with its source: an official certification directory, the roaster's own documentation, or a shopper report that's still waiting for review.

We never blend everything into one ethics score. Bird Friendly, organic and fair trade answer different questions, so you choose which ones matter to you.

How it works

From priority to purchase.

  1. Choose what matters

Pick your priorities or search for a brand, store or origin, then narrow by roast, brew method or roasting country.

  2. Check the receipt

Open any coffee to see each label's issuer, what it covers, its source and when it was checked.

  3. Find where to buy

See specialty cafés, roasters and stores that carry it, from grocery chains to food co-ops.

  4. Scan the bag

In the iPhone and Android apps, scan a coffee bag's barcode in the store to see its receipt straight away.
